Our Little Fashonista!

Alexis's creativity and natural talent for art blow me away on almost a daily basis. Alexis lives for art. She is almost constantly coloring and creating at home. When asked what activity she would like to do if she has free time she most often says "draw or color with you". That is why I created this site. So I could take pictures of her art and creations and be able to throw some of them away while still saving the memories! I saved an old fashion plates toy hoping "my kids would one day use it". It has lately been Alexis and I's favorite toy to play together. I had just finished coloring my outfit and was admiring my work when Alexis came over and showed me hers. I must say hers definitely outshone.
Here we have Vunisa, Chasy, and Sassy. The flower headband accessory was Alexis's addition as well as the sunglasses Sassy has on. Notice the pink hair? That brought quite a long discussion and debate about "it is ok to have pink hair right mom?" by Alexis.I like the multicolored tube top on Vunisa and the way she colored the skirt. How does she come up with this stuff?

This is how most artwork from school comes home. It is almost never one color. Usually rainbow is a favorite. She likes to do lots of patterns too. When the class does an animal drawing for example hers comes home with added details like the animal on top of a background drawing of their habitat or landscape home.

Did you ever see______. Alexis wrote 3 fish in a tree from the book "Hop on Pop" by Dr. Seuss
Colbie colored on this but it says: "I would talk to a seahorse. I would say? do you like seaweed? and she said yes! I do. And I said to her do you change colors. No! she said. And she was happy! the end."

I was at my party. And all of a sudden a thing burst through the door. It had three heads. And three tails. And purple skin. And purple fur. And it was a monster

I burst out the door and got away the end.

Guess the animal

I love this self portrait Alexis drew with her initials on the bottom. She still writes backwards alot of the time. She's left handed so it is easier for her to write from right to left.
This is a giraffe, hippo, and zebra.

This is Alexis (see the A on her shirt) listening to an Ipod while some strangers walk by.

Alexis drew this on her magna doodle and I loved it so much I had to take a picture. It says "I bark bark what am I?" and then has a picture of the animal to guess. Of course it is a dog.

Lots but oh so cute to miss!

Alexis dressing up for her "fashun shoh" She sent me an invitation that said "ur invitd fashun shoh fiv fifteen at n-pm" She has quite the fashion sense I must say!
She tied this scarf all by herself like this and did her own hair

I just thought this one Alexis drew with colored pencils was darling I would love to have it on a canvas for a kids room!
I love all the pictures Alexis draws for me. I love her "blutterflies" and the way she writes words with fancy squiggly writing. This is a drawing from a Mythbusters experiment. (T.V. show Shaun likes to watch) Alexis calls them the "Mist Busters"

Treasure Map
Cootie from the game "Cootie"
This says "get your air pack on" "sign your name" Then there is a blank to sign up to be and astronaut. I thought this was cute how she called the suit an air pack. This is Alexis with her friend Raevynn.
Some drawings Alexis did on a Sunday after church. The girl is dressed for church the boy is a missionary
Some pictures of Jesus. She made it clear that this was one that is from a Greg Olsen drawing with Jesus wearing a piece of material draped over his head.

A temple
The Sacrament This is a drawing of Alexis's sparkly unicorn "Fable" She got in trouble for something the other day and Fable had to go on time out. I found this note at the bottom of her bed
"I love you Fable I miss you loves and kisses and love you Fable".
Alexis did flower that had all different petals this is what she said they all were

I love this "hula" girl

Alexis continues to love art. She now says instead of being a doctor (an eye doctor to be exact) she wants to be an artist. She definetely has the talent and the love for it. I love all her drawings and her beautiful colorful paintings.
