Alexis's Birthday!

Alexis got a new birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa Cornia. And a new Tinkerbell shirt. She loves them! She wanted to pose for the camera.

Cute homemade card

This card came with a cute bracelet

The party invitation for a Little Mermaid Under the Sea Party

Cute apron from Grandma and Grandpa Cornia

Alexis turned 4 today. We can hardly believe how big she is getting. She has started preschool and is really liking it a lot. Yesterday I was telling her how she has grown up so fast and that I couldn't believe she was 4 she smiled and said "I'm so proud to be 4!" I guess she learned the word "proud" and it's meaning. It was funny. I took cupcakes to preschool today that I bought from the grocery store. I actually started making some this morning and was one egg short. I got back from the store and was just about to bake the cupcakes when I noticed the box said best if used by July 2007! I decided to look up on the Internet cake shelf life. It said they might not rise as well but it was safe to eat. Well I cooked them a bit to long I guess because the bottoms burned. I decided to go ahead and frost them to try and get them to preschool on time but the frosting was melting everywhere. I ended up throwing all 24 burnt cupcakes away. Then I forgot how many kids were in her class and brought only 12 store bought cupcakes for 14 kids! Luckily one kid didn't want one and one forgot to get one so we had just enough! Saved! What a cupcake Disaster!

Crayon Drawings

Here are some fun Crayon Drawings Alexis Did. I'm not sure what they are for sure. Yes they do look backwards, they really aren't. Alexis draws left handed so now that she is learning to right letters she often wrights from right to left and backwards. Maybe you could guess what these are. I will put my interpretations too. maybe "emily" the words say "alimee"
I think this is a reindeer the letters say "randee" and then she ran out of paper.

I think this might be our family.

Probably a story she was writing.

Book

Alexis wrote and illusrated this book. I thought it was really cute and creative. If you click on the bottom right corner it should take you to the sight where you can see it full screen and slow it down. Enjoy!

Christmas Fun!

We went to an art gallery in the basement of the library that had a display of some neat gingerbread houses. Alexis really liked the princess castle.
We were going to make one out of real gingerbread but decided to make this one with card board and real candy and food. It was much simpler and still really fun.
Alexis kept saying "this is fun mom". She really liked dumping the purple sprinkles on the entry way and putting the chocolate chips on the roof.
She really liked measuring with the ruler to make the walls too!
Alexis by the "gingerbread princess Castle" we made.

These are babies from the show "Rugrats"

I think this was a self portrait if I remember right.

This was a scary happy pig. At the top she wrote her name the other stuff on the side is a story about the picture. I think it says mommy at the end.

This was a picture of mom. Again the scribbles are words.
I don't remember what they say.

Some glitter paints that came in the mail from grandma! She was really excited.
Alexis said it is a silly road for silly monsters that live on silly roads.

She got the idea to put differen't sticky notes on the page with pictures on them.
This is what alexsi said is the "scary other monsters"

Don't remember what these are supposed to be.
Alexis just said it's the scary silly silly monster.
